A Few of My Favorite Things

Following the lead of of Oprah Winfrey, every Christmas I give my sisters a few of products that I fall in love within the year. Here are some of my favorite healthy, all-natural products.

Rose Water

WHY I LOVE IT: If you like the smell of roses, you'll love rose water. It is refreshing for both your hair and skin. Packed with anti-inflammatory, antioxident and antibacterial properties, rose water is worth having around. So, spray it all over your body to remove dirt from clogged pores, it helps to heal scars and sores, and helps to maintain your skin's pH. Because it is a mood enhancer, spray it on your pillow or in the air when you feel anxious.

Every Day BodyWash

Why I love it: Both my daughters use this bubble bath. I feel good knowing that when I give Ava, my youngest daughter, her bath that she isn't wading in chemicals. It is a mild bubble bath and the lavender helps her to wind down. Best of all it bubbles up nicely with just 1 - 2 caps added to your bath.

Schmitz Deodorant

WHY I LOVE IT:  I have gone through numerous "all-natural" deodorants to find this gem. While boldly texting the wrong deodorants, I've had several embarrassing moments where a the deodorant just didn't hold. Schmitz deodorant is all natural has no aluminum and holds well all day, even during the most high-stress times.

Charcoal Toothpaste

Why I love it: I never enjoyed the taste of toothpaste, maybe it's just me, but I love, love this toothpaste. It made with natural products and my teeth have never stayed so clean between dental cleanings as it does with this toothpaste.

About TJ >

I founded Lavelle Publishing in 1997 with the release of my first poetry book, The Desires of A Woman: Poems Celebrating Womanhood. I was 26 years old. I published my second book Sorority Sisters in 1998. Sorority Sisters was picked up by Villard Books, a division of Random House and rereleased in 2000. Over 80,000 copies have been sold. So much has happened in my life since the release of my first books. I am thankful for the twist and turns that has been my journey. My life lessons have made me wiser, more grounded and more secure in who I am. One thing that I have realized is that not only do I love to write, but I like to express my writing through different genres. As you explore my site, you will see what I mean.
